When human surroundings are encased in such dense urban environments, where space is constrained and life turns to a routine replete with opening and closing of doors, its value of existence gets constantly judged and challenged. In this kind of condition, does the internal existence remain unchanged or does it morph and transform under pressure?
How does the relationship between space and individuals shape our reality and daily lives, especially in the Internet age? To get to the bottom of this, cross-disciplinary art ensemble Cocho Take – spearheaded by choreographer HUANG,HENG-WEI and PAN,BO-LING – tackles the meaning of existence by integrating lighting, sound, images with dance and computer technologies to create an intertwined state between technology and sensory perception.
A finalist of the Digital Art Performance Award at the 5th Taipei Digital Art Festival, Cocho Take’s show not only created a literal interface between the digital and the human, it has opened up brand new possibilities in avant-garde digital art performance.
